How To Become a Digital Nomad
For generations, the Filipino dream meant packing a suitcase, working abroad for years (sometimes decades), and sending Balikbayan boxes and hard-earned savings back home. That dream is evolving. Today you can earn remotely in global currencies while staying rooted in the Philippines, where those earnings stretch further than ever. And once that becomes your reality, a bigger question follows: why work from home when you can work from anywhere?
That question is exactly what my first book answers. On September 10, 2026, I launched Career or Travel, Why Not Both? How to Become a Digital Nomad with Penguin Random House SEA at the Manila International Book Fair, SMX Convention Center. This is the book I wish I had at 20 years old, working in Kuwait and dreaming of more.
It breaks down exactly how I went from an office job in the Middle East to visiting every country in the world, and how you can build your own path to work from anywhere, legally, through digital nomad visas and remote-work programs. Inside, you'll climb the Borderless Ladder: Earn, Own Your Work, Own Your Name, Own The System. It's written for Filipinos and dreamers across the Global South who were told travel isn't for them.
